Animal Noise are an engaging three-headed musical beast who dish out cleverly constructed experimental indie songs. The band come from Colchester in England’s South East and are one of British Music’s most exciting prospects.
Animal Noise’s first foray on to the UK music scene in 2013 saw the band achieve extensive support through the BBC Introducing network achieving BBC Radio 1 playlist with their debut single ‘Baddow’. The single was championed by Huw Stephens, Greg James, Sara Cox and Scott Mills. BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson was also early to the party giving ‘Baddow’ airplay. Local BBC Introducing Suffolk also offered Animal Noise festival slots at ‘T In The Park’ and ‘Bestival’.
Listing their wide ranging key influences from Queens of the Stone Age, The Cure, Pixies, Kate Bush, Steely Dan, Nick Cave, Animal Collective, Bombay Bicycle Club, Fleetwood Mac, Tracy Chapman, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Connan Mockasin to The Police and Minute Men the trio are set to make a big impression.
The band practice on a farm in an old converted milking parlour. In the rural setting there is no one around for miles so the band have always been able to write together as loudly as possible and with no time restraints! This has helped the creative flow allowing Animal Noise to spend more time to create without feeling pressured to rush songs to completion.
